What is tiqopay?
tiqopay is Morocco's first escrow (trusted third party) service. We act as an intermediary between buyer and seller: the buyer deposits funds with us, the seller delivers, and we only release payment after receipt confirmation. This eliminates the risk of fraud for both parties.
Why use tiqopay?
Buying or selling online in Morocco comes with risks: the buyer fears paying without receiving, the seller fears delivering without getting paid. tiqopay solves this by securing funds until both parties are satisfied. No more scams on marketplaces, Facebook groups, or peer-to-peer transactions.
How does it work?
It's simple in 4 steps: 1) The seller creates a secure payment link and shares it with the buyer. 2) The buyer pays — funds are held by tiqopay. 3) The seller delivers the goods or service. 4) The buyer confirms receipt and funds are released to the seller. In case of a dispute, our team steps in to find a resolution.
How much does it cost?
Registration is 100% free. The Starter plan is 4.9% per transaction (min 1 MAD), no subscription. The Pro plan at 3.9% + 99 MAD/month is ideal for regular sellers. The Business plan from 2.5% is negotiable based on volume. No hidden fees, no commitment.
What happens in case of a dispute?
If the buyer and seller can't agree, tiqopay steps in as a neutral mediator. We review evidence from both parties (photos, messages, tracking) and propose a fair resolution. Funds remain secured until the dispute is resolved.
